Scheduling an Event
I love to do library and bookstore storytimes; school
visits; and other speaking engagements! If
you’d like to book me for an event, please contact me at the email above. Please know, though, that I schedule my
appearances around a non-author day job and a busy family life, so I’m not
always able to accept all of the appearance requests I receive. Still, don’t hesistate
to be in touch, and I’ll let you know how my schedule is looking.

For 2010, I’m mostly at
capacity, and will not be able to book very many more events at this time. But don’t hesitate to contact me – if we can’t
work something out for this year, I can definitely put you on the waiting list
for next year.

For 2011, I’m currently wide
open schedulewise, but I’ll want to hold off until at
least fall before scheduling any 2011 dates.
Feel free to email me before then, but I won’t be able to commit to any
dates until after I know my own family’s 2010-11 school and work schedule.

I generally schedule
events for the months of April, May,
June, July, August, September, October, and early November, generally on
Tuesdays or Thursdays, and the occasional Saturday. I usually try not to schedule more than 2 or
3 events a month, so that I’m energetic and enthusiastic for all my
appearances.

Because of the vagaries
of Michigan weather (and due to my need to get some writing done!), I do not usually
schedule events during the mid-November through late-March period.
